Places worth the effort.
Small-group journeys — unhurried, hosted, and hard to arrange on your own. And tailor-made travel, planned the same way.

This season's small-group journeys
Most are limited to ten or twelve guests, with a Signature Breaks host on every departure — in India and further afield.
A Chettinad Mansion, Taken Whole
A restored merchant mansion reserved entirely for the group — Burma-teak pillars, Athangudi-tiled halls and courtyards open to the sky, with the region's famous cooking served at the house's own table.
View the journey
Satpura, on Foot and by Water
One of the few tiger reserves in India where you can leave the jeep behind — walking the forest with a naturalist and crossing the Denwa backwaters by canoe at first light.
View the journey
Theyyam: Nights with the Gods
In village shrines across Kannur and Kasaragod, performers become deities for a night — towering headdresses, firelight and hours of drumming. We take you to the right shrine on the right night.
View the journey
North of the Arctic Circle
Stockholm, an overnight Baltic crossing, Helsinki and Tallinn — then north across the Arctic Circle to Lapland and Tromsø for six evenings watching for the Northern Lights, ending slowly in Copenhagen.
View the journey
Kyoto, When the Maples Turn
Temple gardens at the height of the maples, a private tea ceremony, kaiseki dinners at a traditional ryokan and a day among the temples and deer of Nara — timed to miss the crowds.
View the journey
The Nile by Sailing Dahabiya
Cairo and the Grand Egyptian Museum, then the Nile aboard a traditional sailing dahabiya — a handful of cabins, a wide sun deck, and quiet moorings near temples the large cruise ships pass by.
View the journeyDeparture dates are shared first with those who register interest. Every journey can also be arranged privately, on your dates.

Milestone birthdays, anniversaries, reunions, and friends who have meant to travel together for years. Any of our journeys, or an entirely new one, on your dates.

Planning for a company — an offsite, incentive or leadership retreat?
Signature OffsitesSmall groups. Unusual places. Thoughtfully made.
Three things we will not compromise on, on a group journey or a private one.
Curation
Fewer places, chosen well. We recommend what we would book for ourselves, and leave out the rest.
Pace
Enough time in each place to actually experience it, with free mornings where they matter.
Care
One team from the first conversation to the flight home, a message away throughout.

Deliberately small.
Signature Breaks has planned journeys for more than fifteen years. The people who design your journey are the people who look after you while you are away.
We don't try to cover every destination or sell every hotel. We recommend places we know, tell you when something isn't worth the time or money, and build each journey around how you actually like to travel.
Honest advice
If a season, route or hotel is wrong for you, we will say so.
Clear pricing
What is included, and what is not, is written down before you book.
One point of contact
The same planner from first call to homecoming.
Your preferences, remembered
Dietary needs, room preferences and the small things carry into every trip.
The Signature Breaks team
Good to know.
How big are the groups?
Small. Most of our journeys are limited to ten or twelve guests; the largest, north of the Arctic Circle, takes twenty. Every departure has a Signature Breaks host travelling with the group.
Can you arrange one of these journeys privately?
Yes. Any journey can be arranged for your own family or friends on dates that suit you, and we also plan entirely tailor-made holidays.
Do you arrange flights and visas?
We can. Flights, visas and travel insurance can be arranged alongside the journey, with clear documents for every day of the trip.
Can you cater for vegetarian and other dietary needs?
Yes. Dietary needs are written into every supplier brief before you travel, including vegetarian, Jain and other requirements.
How far ahead should we plan?
For small-group departures, as early as you can — places are limited. For tailor-made holidays, three to six months ahead gives the best choice of hotels, and longer for peak seasons such as February in Lapland or November in Kyoto.
Have somewhere in mind?
Tell us a little about the journey you are thinking of, and a member of our team will reply within one working day.
